QuINT is a game about integrity in which participants discover for themselves what this concept means to them. During the game they determine their own attitude in various situations in an appealing manner. By subsequently discussing these situations with other participants and thereby elucidating their motives, they become aware of their own way of thinking and at the same time they expand their personal understanding with other perspectives.
Three participants position themselves around a game board and find an instruction card for each player with a number of standpoints with which to judge a question of integrity. The game is played in a number of rounds in which a recognizable situation is presented. The participants evaluate these situations based on the different standpoints assigned to them. Subsequently they determine for themselves how they would react to the situation in question. They indicate their choices on their personal game card. After these choices have been made, the cards are passed around. The overview created is the starting point for the participants to discuss the situation and based on the conversation to make a personal choice. The choices made are then input into a computer system. At the end of the game, the information is collated by the computer into a personal integrity profile.
QuINT offers participants a departure point for making it possible to discuss questions of integrity. In the day to day routine, this departure point helps in recognizing and dealing with questions of integrity. The integrity profile created provides participants with insight into their personal attitudes and patterns of thinking about integrity. It summarizes choices made, makes clear the motivation on which decisions were based and identifies personal impediments. In combination with the discussion about choices made, this personal profile shows participants how they stand in relation to others.
QuINT was developed for people in organizations who often have to deal with divergent ethical issues at a professional level.
